Blueberries and Cream Ice Cream
This smoothie tastes JUST like blueberries and cream ice cream and I want to eat it every single day! The blueberries make the smoothie so thick and luscious, so it scoops out of the cup just like a super creamy soft serve. If you can’t tell already, I’m a HUGE fan of blueberry smoothies. Blueberries have just the right amount of sweetness, so they’re perfect for making a creamy, frozen blueberry vanilla protein smoothie.
I used to work at an ice cream shop (this was before I worked at a bakery that also served ice cream)… I know I had the best high-school jobs ever! But we used to have a blueberry ice cream that was out of this world delicious. And honestly, I think this blueberry vanilla protein smoothie comes so close to being that ice cream! Seriously, if you’ve ever had blueberry and cream flavored anything, you know it’s crazy delicious? And if you haven’t, now you get to experience how insanely yummy it is!
Only 4 Ingredients
One of the best parts about this smoothie is that it’s so easy to make. There are no vegetables or superfood ingredients in this recipe, though you could add some frozen spinach or green superfood powder if you like. I didn’t add them because I didn’t want to mess with the flavor, but I always bulk up my smoothies with some greens, and you can see how in my Low Sugar Blueberry Protein Smoothie recipe. Yeah, I seriously love blueberry smoothies 😉
The 4 Simple Ingredients:
- Vanilla protein powder (I used Nutiva’s Vanilla Grain-Free Plant-Based Protein Powder)
- Creamy almond butter
- Frozen organic blueberries
- Water or almond milk
4-Ingredient Blueberries and Cream Protein SmoothiePrint This
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 2 tbsp. creamy almond butter
- Frozen blueberries, to taste
- Water or almond milk, to thin to desired consistency
- Add all of your ingredients to a blender, then blend until smooth.
If you add just enough milk to make it blend, but not too much - the consistency is more like soft serve ice cream than a smoothie. Yum!
